At about 13:302024 on October 12, Weifang Jinshi Biotechnology Co. , Ltd. suffered a gas poisoning accident, killing seven people and injuring four others. The person responsible for the accident has been brought under control. At present, after-care work and accident cause investigation is under way.

Case 1
At around 20:402024 on September 4, two people were killed and two injured in a poisoning accident at the Shenzhou auto interior parts company in Jiangdu District, Yangzhou province. The direct cause of the accident was hydrogen sulfide, ammonia, Volatile organic compound and other toxic and harmful gases generated from the mixed wastewater in the transfer tank after standing still. The company contracted out the limited space clean-up operation to the villagers who did not have the safety ability, and did not carry out the“First ventilation, then detection, after work” procedure, resulting in poisoning of workers entering the pool. Follow-up rescue personnel without wearing any protective equipment blindly rescue, resulting in increased accident casualties.
Case 2
At around 13:302024 on August 16, one person died and five others were injured in a poisoning accident at the Ziyundi food processing company in Dengta, Liaoyang Province, Liaoning province. The direct cause of the accident was: without ventilation, testing and safety protection equipment, the workers went into the pool to clean up the pickled cabbage residue, and 2 people fainted after poisoning, follow-up rescue personnel in the absence of effective protective measures in the case of blind rescue, resulting in the expansion of the accident.
Most of the accidents in limited space are caused by the workers not testing and not wearing safety protective equipment. For the limited space operation, the detection can be completed by portable telemetry equipment.
