Hanhai Optoelectronics is a major scientific research achievement transformation institution affiliated with the Hefei Institutes of Physical Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences. It is committed to the application of laser absorption spectroscopy gas detection technology.The company's products and technologies are applicable to safety monitoring in fields such as petrochemicals, oil and gas pipelines, coal mines, tunnel construction, urban gas, offshore drilling platforms, chemical parks, hazardous chemicals storage and transportation, LNG storage and transportation, fire protection, and environmental protection. They can also be used in industrial process control, such as the combustion status of industrial boilers.

The company's core related technologies have broken the technological monopoly of Europe and the United States. They have been jointly recommended by three ministries: the Ministry of Emergency Management, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. These technologies have passed the identification of the State Administration of Work Safety as a scientific and technological achievement with "leading domestic and advanced international" level. The company has also obtained multiple certifications and awards, including metrological certification, MA certification, fire product certification, and the Safety Production Science and Technology Achievement Award from the Ministry of Emergency Management.

A series of products have been applied in major domestic energy enterprises and national key projects, such as Sinopec, PetroChina, CNOOC, Beijing Gas Group, Towngas Group, China Gas Holdings, and China Resources Gas Group. The world's first "Underground Gas Pipeline Online Monitoring System" has been built in National Pipe Network Group, Sinopec, and other enterprises.
