Outstanding Performance Among 289 Contenders!
Guoke Hanhai’s Extreme-Operation Laser Gas Detection Robot has claimed the Excellence Award at the Xiongan International Robotics Competition!

The finals of the 3rd Xiongan Future City Scenario Summit · 2026 Xiongan International Robotics Competition concluded successfully on June 26. Centered on the theme of "Scene-Driven Innovation, Robots Empowering All Industries", the competition attracted 289 high-quality projects from home and abroad. After multiple rigorous screening rounds, only 116 technological achievements advanced to the finals for on-site competition.

Guoke Hanhai presented its extreme-operation laser gas detection robot in the High-End Manufacturing & Extreme Operation Track, ranking 11th overall and taking home the Excellence Award. The company has earned authoritative recognition at this national-level innovation competition with its self-developed core laser sensing technology.

Standing Out Among Hundreds of Entries

The event brought together leading domestic and international enterprises including Hikvision, CITIC Heavy Industries and WITTENSTEIN AG, university research teams and innovation firms from Hong Kong and Macao. Competitions covered all tracks including smart cities, high-end manufacturing, special extreme equipment and core components. A total of 126 industrial implementation demands were released on-site, with a total planned investment of 788 million RMB. This competition stands as a high-value domestic platform for translating innovative robotics achievements into industrial applications.

Traditional emergency detection equipment has long suffered three critical industry pain points: delayed response of point sensors, large blind zones for mobile detection, and frequent poisoning and failure under complex working conditions. Rescuers have to enter high-risk zones for manual detection, exposing them to constant risks of poisoning and explosions.

Guoke Hanhai’s competition entry features a fully reconstructed laser gas sensing system for extreme-operation robots. Built on proprietary core TDLAS (Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy) technology, it fundamentally addresses the drawbacks of traditional sensors. Thanks to its original technology, practical scenario adaptability and mature industrialization capacity, the robot stood out from nearly 300 submissions and secured a spot in the finals.

Dual-Mode Detection: The Pioneer Scout for Emergency Response

The Guoke Hanhai extreme-operation gas detection robot adopts an innovative dual-integrated detection solution combining long-distance laser remote sensing and high-precision near-field pump sampling, redefining gas sensing for mobile robots and setting it apart from conventional single-point contact detection devices on the market.

360° Full-Range Radar Scanning up to 150 Meters with Millisecond-Level Active Detection
Equipped with an in-house developed laser remote sensing gimbal, the robot identifies eight types of flammable, explosive, toxic and harmful gases including methane, hydrogen sulfide, ammonia, acetylene and ethylene through long-distance scanning without direct contact with gas sources. It delivers a response time of less than 0.1 seconds and rapidly generates gas cloud distribution mapping on site, eliminating the over 30-second lag and data failure when crossing gas plagues that plague traditional sensors.

Pure Physical Spectral Detection with Zero Risk of Permanent Sensor Poisoning
The system identifies gases via their unique molecular spectral fingerprints, requiring no catalytic or electrochemical consumables. Resistant to interference from silicides, sulfides, oil fumes and dust, it reliably operates in harsh extreme environments such as fire scenes, hazardous chemical leakage sites and high-gas tunnels. Its readings align with true physical gas concentrations, avoiding alarm fatigue caused by false and missed alerts.

Multi-Modal Full-Parameter Sensing Enabling Closed-Loop Command & Decision-Making
Integrated with dual-channel high-definition video, Beidou positioning, temperature & humidity sensors, dust monitors and ultrasonic obstacle avoidance systems, paired with 1,000-meter long-range wireless communication, the robot enters high-risk zones prone to explosions, collapses and high temperatures in advance. It transmits real-time data including full-area gas concentrations, live site footage and terrain conditions, enabling a workflow of "robot deployment first, data analysis second, and human intervention last" to drastically cut life risks for frontline rescuers at the source.

All-Terrain Heavy-Duty Tracked Chassis with High Protection for Diverse Extreme Scenarios
Boasting IP65 protection, dual-layer spray cooling, 220mm obstacle crossing capacity and 38° climbing capability, the robot fits a full spectrum of scenarios including hazardous chemical leakage rescue, coal mine gas inspection, tunnel monitoring, regular patrols in chemical parks and fire scene reconnaissance. Three product variants are available tailored to emergency rescue, industrial inspection and multi-robot collaborative platforms to meet diverse industrial demands.

Validated by National-Level Practical Deployment

This award is no accident. Guoke Hanhai’s laser gas detection equipment is backed by complete national project credentials and real-world industrial applications:

Selected for the Ministry of Emergency Management’s public bidding research project for Remote Toxic & Harmful Gas Detection Equipment for Hazardous Chemicals, being one of only four enterprises nationwide shortlisted; the equipment received high praise after on-site inspection by ministry officials.

Deployed in landmark projects including the Erlang Mountain Tunnel of the Sichuan-Tibet Railway (high-altitude, cold and oxygen-deficient environment), large high-sulfur oil & gas fields in Southwest China and coastal petrochemical refineries, operating stably 7×24 hours with proven performance under long-term extreme working conditions.

Fully independent intellectual property rights: core laser devices and spectral inversion algorithms are all self-developed, filling the domestic technical gap in long-distance multi-gas laser detection for mobile platforms, with leading overall performance indicators nationwide.

Driving Innovation Through Competitions to Accelerate Emergency Robot Rollout

The Xiongan International Robotics Competition creates a full industrial transformation chain covering "exhibition at events – supply-demand matching – industrial implementation". Award-winning projects gain priority access to the Xiongan Robotics Mansion, inclusion in Hebei Province’s robotics application catalog and matching with scenario demands from major enterprises across the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. This award serves as authoritative industry recognition of Guoke Hanhai’s laser sensing technology for extreme environments, marking a brand-new milestone for the company’s focus on special safety equipment.

Moving forward, Guoke Hanhai will continue to iterate its core TDLAS laser spectroscopy technology, optimize multi-robot coordination and intelligent analysis algorithms, and deepen its presence in high-risk operation scenarios including mines, fire services, hazardous chemical facilities and municipal tunnels. The company will also participate in the formulation of industrial standards. With domestically developed, controllable laser detection equipment, Guoke Hanhai will advance the vision of "robot replacement and technology-enabled safety", building a solid technological foundation for the modernization of national workplace safety and emergency rescue systems.
