All-New Inspection Robot Dog Unveiled
Powerhouse of Cutting-Edge Technology Leading the Future
High-risk scenarios including chemical parks, underground utility tunnels, energy storage stations, enclosed workshops, tunnels and underground mines have long been plagued by persistent inspection pain points: high safety risks for on-site manual workers, limited mobility of traditional wheeled robots over complex terrain, poisoning and signal drift of gas detection equipment, low efficiency of manually planned inspection routes, and failure to precisely correlate gas data with spatial coordinates.
Today, Guoke Hanhai officially launches an integrated autonomous laser gas inspection solution tailored for quadruped robots. Our self-developed high-precision PPB-level pump-suction TDLAS laser gas analyzer is hardware-adapted to Unitree’s industrial quadruped robot and seamlessly interconnected with the core spatial intelligent module of 8VTON. The solution forms a full industrial chain covering autonomous spatial navigation + full-range precise gas detection + digital twin global management, truly realizing unmanned autonomous inspection, accurate leakage tracing and full-scenario risk visualization in complex confined spaces.
Integrated Inspection System Built via Tripartite Technology Integration

1. Guoke Hanhai – High-Precision Pump-Suction TDLAS Laser Gas Analyzer (Core Sensing Unit)
Serving as the gas sensing foundation of the entire system, the device is customized for lightweight mounting on mobile robots based on proprietary TDLAS Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy technology:
Modular multi-gas precision detection: Supports measurement of eight hazardous gases including CH₄, H₂S, CO, CO₂, NH₃, C₂H₂, C₂H₄ and O₂, featuring ultra-high PPB-level sensitivity and ultra-fast response within 3 seconds.
Pure physical spectral detection with permanent anti-poisoning performance: Free of catalytic and electrochemical consumables, resistant to interference from silicides, sulfides, oil fumes, dust and high-humidity corrosive environments, eliminating signal drift, false alarms and hidden equipment failures.
Built-in micro explosion-proof pump sampling: Draws gas samples close to pipeline low-lying areas and equipment dead corners to accurately capture trace leaks.
Standardized digital communication interface for plug-and-play deployment: Real-time synchronization of gas concentration and alarm signals to robots and spatial intelligent platforms, with traceable and auditable data consistent with actual physical gas concentrations.
2. Unitree Industrial Quadruped Robot – All-Terrain Mobile Carrier
Unitree industrial quadruped robot is adopted as the mobile platform to resolve mobility drawbacks of wheeled and tracked equipment:
Bionic quadruped gait enables easy climbing of steps, crossing of gullies and passage through narrow aisles, suitable for GPS-denied complex spaces such as utility tunnels, underground basements and intricate equipment rooms.
IP67 high protection rating and heavy load mounting capacity, stably carrying laser analyzers, sensing gimbal cameras and communication devices for long-duration continuous inspection operations.
Equipped with multi-line LiDAR and visual SLAM, supporting autonomous obstacle avoidance and dynamic path correction to enable round-the-clock unmanned operation.
3. 8VTON Spatial Intelligent Module – Global Autonomous Decision-Making Brain
The complete solution integrates SpVLM, an in-house developed spatial visual semantic large model core module by 8VTON, delivering full autonomous spatial management capabilities:
Rapid 3D spatial mapping: Automatically generates high-precision digital twin maps of factories and utility tunnels on site, drastically boosting mapping efficiency without manual surveying.
Global autonomous inspection task planning: One-click deployment of full-area inspection points, automatic generation of optimal travel routes, supporting cyclic multi-point patrols, fixed-point re-detection and focused cruising over abnormal zones.
Centimeter-level spatial coordinate binding: Each set of gas detection data is synchronously matched with 3D spatial coordinates, with leakage points marked in real time on the digital twin scene for precise source tracing.
Unified multi-device scheduling & offline operation: Supports autonomous offline inspection, automatic data retransmission after network recovery, and cluster collaborative operation of multiple heterogeneous robots.
Closed-loop risk disposal: Automatically triggers nearby re-detection and audible-visual alarms once gas thresholds are exceeded, while hidden hazard work orders are pushed to the management platform, forming a complete closed loop of "detection – positioning – reporting – disposal".
Three Core Technological Innovations

Innovation 1: Deep Integration of Sensing, Mobility and Spatial AI to Eliminate Equipment Silos
Traditional inspection equipment suffers three major segmentation issues: gas detection, robot movement and spatial management platforms operate as three independent isolated systems with disjointed data, positioning deviations and unlinked task execution.
This integrated solution delivers native hardware and software compatibility: gas signals from the laser analyzer, motion posture data of Unitree quadruped robot and spatial positioning data from 8VTON are fused and synchronized in real time. Gas readings and spatial coordinates update simultaneously as the robot moves, with leakage points displayed intuitively on 3D maps, thoroughly solving the industry-wide challenge of "detecting gas but failing to locate leak sources".
Innovation 2: Quadruped Terrain Advantages & Anti-Interference Laser Detection to Cover Manual Inspection Blind Spots
Wheeled robots cannot traverse steps, narrow interlayers and low-lying flooded areas; conventional catalytic and electrochemical sensors are prone to poisoning and failure.
This solution combines dual strengths: quadruped robots access confined, narrow and uneven spaces inaccessible to human workers; TDLAS laser analyzers remain immune to on-site dust, oil fumes and sulfide interference, outputting stable and reliable long-term data to keep personnel out of high-risk zones.
Innovation 3: Fully Autonomous Unmanned Operation to Cut Labor and Safety Costs
Powered by the 8VTON spatial intelligent module, the full system automatically executes 24/7 inspection tasks without remote manual control:
Scheduled regular automatic cruising and full-area scanning.
Dynamic path adjustment upon trace leak detection, with close-range re-detection to confirm hazard severity.
Automatic generation of inspection reports with unified archiving of hazard locations, concentration curves and spatial coordinates, drastically reducing manual inspection frequency and eliminating safety risks including poisoning, explosion and suffocation for frontline staff.
Applicable Scenarios Across Multiple Industries
Chemical & Hazardous Chemical Parks: Autonomous inspection of hydrogen sulfide and flammable gases in tank zones, process units and sewage pools to pinpoint tiny leaks on flanges and valves.
Urban Underground Utility Tunnels: Unmanned regular monitoring of methane, carbon monoxide and oxygen deficiency risks in enclosed, unventilated spaces.
Energy Storage Power Stations & Lithium Battery Warehouses: Monitor flammable mixed gas released during thermal runaway for early warning of fire and explosion hazards.
Tunnels & Underground Coal Mines: Full-range screening of gas and toxic harmful gases to replace underground manual patrols.
Waste Incineration & Sewage Treatment Plants: Long-term stable monitoring of hydrogen sulfide and ammonia under highly corrosive, smoky complex working conditions without sensor poisoning failure.
Guoke Hanhai Technology Layout
