August 1st Army Day | Strengthening the Military, We Are Here | TDLAS Technology Fortifies the National Defense Science and Technology Line | August 1st, 1927-2025

As the August 1st military flag flutters in the wind, we pay tribute to the "Great Wall of Steel" and deeply understand that the path to strengthening the military cannot do without the solid support of science and technology. Hanhai Laser Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd., with TDLAS (Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy) as its core strength, is deeply engaged in military applications. We safeguard national peace with the power of "light" and fulfill the mission of "Strengthening the Military, We Are Here".
The core of TDLAS technology is to make laser a "precision detection eye". Each gas molecule has a unique "spectral fingerprint". When laser of a specific wavelength passes through gas, the molecule will "absorb" the energy of the corresponding wavelength. By analyzing changes in the laser, we can instantly identify the gas composition and concentration—even trace gases at the parts-per-million level cannot escape detection. This black technology of "gas detection by light" acts as an all-rounder in military scenarios, demonstrating its strength from equipment support to battlefield protection.

During missile launches and spacecraft liftoffs, the combustion state of engine exhaust directly determines the success of the mission. TDLAS technology acts as a "real-time diagnostician". By monitoring gas components in the exhaust (such as carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, water vapor, oxygen, etc.), it accurately judges whether fuel combustion is sufficient and whether there are abnormal leaks.
For example, a sudden increase in the concentration of a certain gas in the missile engine exhaust may indicate insufficient fuel combustion or component wear. The TDLAS system can capture this change in milliseconds, provide data support for the control system, adjust parameters in a timely manner, and prevent the expansion of faults. In the aerospace field, it also guards every second of rocket launches, making the "dream of flying into space" more stable and accurate.

Military airports are core areas for fighter takeoffs and landings, and bird strikes can cause fatal accidents. Traditional bird repellent methods (such as sound waves, scarecrows) have limited effectiveness, but TDLAS technology offers a new solution: using narrow-band laser of a specific wavelength to precisely target the visually sensitive areas of birds, forming an "invisible deterrent barrier".
This laser strongly stimulates birds' vision without harming their lives or bodies, nor affecting fighter electronic equipment. It can form continuous protection within 1 kilometer around the airport. Whether it is emergency fighter takeoffs or daily training, the TDLAS bird repellent system acts as an "invisible sentinel", ensuring the safety of every takeoff and landing.

Military key locations such as ammunition depots and oil storage stations are most afraid of flammable and explosive gas leaks. With a detection accuracy of "1ppm level" (equivalent to detecting 1 drop of ink in 10 tons of water), TDLAS technology has become the first line of defense:
If trace flammable gas leaks in the ammunition depot, the system alarms instantly and accurately locates the leak point.
In confined spaces of submarines and warships, it real-time monitors toxic gas concentrations to ensure the safety of personnel in the cabin.
In the fuel systems of armored vehicles and fighter jets, it warns of leakage risks in advance to avoid battlefield equipment breakdowns.

In complex battlefield environments, chemical weapons and toxic gases are hidden killers. The portable detector integrated with TDLAS technology enables soldiers to real-time monitor the surrounding air while wearing protective equipment: Are there nerve agents? Is there flammable gas accumulation? Data is displayed in real time through the terminal, providing a basis for tactical decisions and making "invisible dangers" visible.

From the faint light of missile exhaust to the laser beam for airport bird repellent, Hanhai Laser's TDLAS technology has always resonated with national defense needs. We deeply understand that every technological breakthrough is a powerful response to the "dream of strengthening the military", and every application landing adds bricks to the national defense line.
On the occasion of the August 1st Army Day, Hanhai Laser pays tribute to all soldiers! In the future, we will continue to deepen laser spectroscopy technology, integrate more "power of light" into military strengthening practices, protect national peace with a technological shield, and fulfill the solemn oath of "Strengthening the Military, We Are Here" with practical actions.
On the road to strengthening the military, where light shines, the mission will be accomplished!
