With the development of the city, the country pays more attention to energy security and environmental issues. As a clean energy, urban gas is being used more and more. Due to the large population density and high level of economic development in cities, the medium conveyed by urban underground gas pipelines is flammable, explosive, toxic and harmful. Once it leaks, it will often bring huge losses to the lives and property of urban residents and cause far-reaching adverse effects on society. In addition, a large number of underground wells (rooms) for maintenance and overhaul are also distributed in every corner of the city. Effective management and protection of a large number of underground wells (rooms) has become a difficult problem for the municipal management department.
The valves, pipelines, natural gas and other corresponding equipment in the underground well (room) normally operate in a closed state. In case of failure or gas leakage, even a small amount of leakage will easily accumulate into a high gas concentration over time. If there is no corresponding monitoring and alarm device and emergency safety measures in the underground well (room), once there is fire, the explosion will be caused, and the pipeline crack will follow the explosion The second explosion or even multiple explosions continue to expand or advance, forming a series of explosions, with unimaginable consequences.
Facing the blind spot and monitoring pain point of urban gas safety
The common gas monitoring equipment in the market can not effectively and fully meet the on-line monitoring requirements under the complex environment of underground space.
In cooperation with Hefei Institute of Materia Medica of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Hanhai optoelectronics has undertaken the industrialization of laser absorption spectrum gas detection technology, a major national scientific research achievement. The independently developed laser gas leakage monitor has overcome the technical bottleneck of integrating water flooding resistance, corrosion resistance, high accuracy, long life and calibration free characteristics, and effectively solved the technical problems of sensor measurement drift, weak transmission signal in underground space and long-term low power consumption operation.

The underground space environment has complex characteristics such as high temperature, high humidity, water logging, strong acidity and alkalinity and weak signal. The common monitoring equipment can not meet the use environment of the underground space. The equipment is faced with severe environment such as strong acid, strong alkali, high humidity, water flooding and various gas interference. How to realize long-term, online, calibration free, high sensitive and high reliable detection capability is a difficult problem for large-scale urban monitoring application.

The modular design from detector to control system is adopted. The simplified system structure makes the installation easier.
