Accident 1: Shandong Tai'an liquefied gas tank explosion has caused 3 deaths and 10 injuries
According to the official website of Tai'an Emergency Management Bureau, on the morning of June 21, an explosion accident caused by the leakage of liquefied gas tanks in a front room on the first floor of Tai'an Greenland mansion injured a total of 13 people. Up to now, three of them have died due to serious injury and deterioration of the injury. The rest of the injured are receiving further treatment. At present, the detailed cause of the accident is under investigation. Tai'an City has launched a comprehensive investigation and rectification of potential safety hazards in stores along the street within the city.
Accident 2: 23 people were injured in a gas explosion accident in Tianjin
According to CCTV news on the evening of the 21st, at about 16:45 on June 21st, 2022, near the intersection of Beicheng East Road and Wusu road in Baodi District, Tianjin, gas leakage caused by illegal construction led to a combustion and explosion accident, resulting in 23 injuries, including 3 severe burns, which are being treated in a professional hospital; 15 slightly injured persons were observed and treated in the hospital; Five slightly injured persons have been discharged. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
According to the national gas accident analysis report (report of the first quarter of 2022) (released in June 2022 by the safety management working committee of China City Gas Association, China gas safety magazine, and the wechat official account of gas safety and services), a total of 278 gas accidents nationwide (excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) were collected in the first quarter of 2022, including 1 major accident.
According to the types of accidents: 174 residential user accidents, 29 industrial and commercial user accidents, 73 pipe network accidents, and 2 plant and station accidents. The gas accident caused a total of 17 deaths and 154 injuries.
There were 94 natural gas accidents, including 17 residential user accidents, 2 industrial and commercial user accidents, 73 pipe network accidents and 2 plant and station accidents, resulting in 5 deaths and 18 injuries.

It can be seen from the report that there are many deficiencies in the field of gas safety, among which the lagging problem of scientific and technological means is more prominent. Relying on the eyes and nose to make artificial judgment alone cannot perceive the risk in advance. Another is that the proportion of pipe network accidents is relatively high. Therefore, it is imperative to use technical defense instead of civil defense.
