On November 4, the office of the safety committee of the State Council issued a circular requiring all regions, relevant departments and units to deeply learn lessons from gas accidents, comprehensively strengthen urban gas safety, and resolutely reverse the current trend of frequent gas accidents. The circular stressed the need to effectively enhance the sense of political responsibility to prevent and resolve gas safety risks, and quickly carry out special rectification of gas safety. Strictly implement the provisions of the newly revised work safety law, and urge all kinds of catering enterprises using gas to install combustible gas alarm devices as soon as possible and ensure normal use.
