      Smart management of gas pipeline transformation and urban comprehensive pipe gallery

      As the "lifeline" of urban operation, pipelines (lines), including gas, water supply and drainage, are an important part of urban municipal infrastructure. Their safety status directly affects the guarantee of people's livelihood and the high-quality development of new urbanization construction.
      After more than 40 years of high-speed and large-scale construction and extensive development, China has accumulated many potential risks, such as aging of underground pipelines, unclear base number and other prominent problems, frequent disasters and accidents such as urban waterlogging and gas explosion, which are mostly related to obsolete and disrepair of pipelines, and the security situation is extremely severe.
In order to protect this "lifeline", the central economic work conference in 2021 stressed that during the 14th Five Year Plan period, pipeline transformation and construction must be taken as an important infrastructure project.


      This year's National Conference on housing and urban rural construction proposed to adhere to the people first and life first, comprehensively investigate and rectify potential risks in the field of urban and rural construction, and include "organizing and promoting major projects for the aging, renewal and transformation of urban pipelines such as gas" in the key work of this year's housing and urban rural construction system.

The Ministry of housing and urban rural development will urge all localities to refine the objectives, tasks and implementation plans of urban pipeline renewal and reconstruction. By the end of June, guide all localities to basically complete the general survey and evaluation of urban gas and other pipelines, and carry out digital, networked and intelligent construction at the same time. By the end of the year, all provinces will fully start the aging, renewal and transformation of urban pipelines. Among them, we will strive to start the transformation of about 20000 kilometers of gas pipelines with potential safety hazards, complete the investment of 50 billion yuan, and significantly reduce gas safety accidents.
      At the same time, many places will focus on accelerating the construction of underground comprehensive pipe gallery, and on this basis, promote the upgrading of supporting materials such as pipe network and the intelligent transformation of operation and management of comprehensive pipe gallery.


01 Chongqing
According to the 14th five year plan for the construction of urban comprehensive pipe gallery (2021 ~ 2025) recently released by Chongqing, by the end of 2025, strive to ensure that the allocation rate of new road comprehensive pipe gallery in the new urban area is not less than 30%; Promote intelligent construction, make full use of new technologies such as Internet of things, mobile Internet, artificial intelligence and big data, and establish and improve the intelligent management platform of urban comprehensive pipe gallery.
02 Shanxi
Shanxi proposed that the construction of underground comprehensive pipe gallery should be coordinated according to local conditions in the old urban area in combination with the renewal of the old city, road reconstruction, river regulation and underground space development.
03 Hebei
Zhangjiakou, Hebei Province, issued the law on the management of urban underground comprehensive pipe gallery in mid January, which defines the rights and obligations of various units in the investment, planning, construction, operation and maintenance management of pipe gallery, and formulates the incentive mechanism and constraint mechanism of forced access to the gallery.
04 Jiangsu
During the 14th Five Year Plan period, Nanjing, Jiangsu Province plans to build 70 kilometers of underground comprehensive pipe gallery, and the mileage, distribution range and types of pipe gallery continue to lead the province.

Solution for safe operation of urban comprehensive pipe gallery


      The urban comprehensive pipe gallery contains gas pipeline and sewage pipeline, which enter the special gas bunker and sewage bunker respectively. Because the fuel gas has the property of combustion and explosion, and the fuel gas warehouse belongs to a closed space, once the fuel gas leakage occurs, it is not easy to diffuse, and it is very easy to form aggregation, resulting in explosion accidents. The sewage pipe will also produce biogas and hydrogen sulfide gas, which will also cause explosion and poisoning accidents in the confined space of the sewage pipe gallery. In case of explosion, the building and pipe gallery will not only be damaged, but also the pipe gallery will be damaged. At the same time, because the water, electricity and communication lines are concentrated in the pipe gallery, it will also lead to a large area of water, power failure and communication interruption in the city, and the consequences will be disastrous.

Passive optical fiber laser leakage monitoring system


      The passive optical fiber laser leakage monitoring system is composed of laser monitoring platform, system host (laser control unit, spectral analysis unit) and light sensing terminal. The system host and the light sensing terminal are connected through optical fiber. Just lay an optical cable along the pipe gallery and hang a light sensing terminal every 15 meters to realize real-time monitoring of the whole pipe gallery.


Laser gas leakage monitor for valve well


      The valve well laser gas leakage monitor is composed of detector, power supply and communication module and monitoring platform. Valve well laser gas leakage monitor is an underground laser monitoring product integrating laser absorption spectrum gas detection technology (TDLAS), low power consumption technology and Internet of things technology, and transmits the data to the monitoring platform. The monitor is installed in the middle of the top of the pipe rack, and one set is installed every 15m on the top of the pipe rack.


Fixed reflection laser gas telemeter


      The fixed reflection laser gas telemeter is composed of laser control unit, spectrum analysis unit and optical reflection unit. Using laser absorption spectrum gas detection technology (TDLAS), it can monitor the gas concentration between the laser transceiver and the reflection device for long-distance, all-weather and on-line monitoring. The monitor can be installed at both ends of the top of the pipe rack, and one monitor can be installed in each fire compartment on the top of the pipe rack.
