In May 2024, with the continuous enhancement of safety production standards, CNOOC Huizhou Petrochemical Co., Ltd. has remained committed to ensuring the safe operation of personnel and equipment within its station areas. In accordance with the relevant provisions for linear laser detectors outlined in GB/T50493-2019 "Design Standard for Detection and Alarm of Combustible and Toxic Gases in Petrochemical Industry," and considering the actual safety requirements of various modules in the company's northern plant area, a decision was made to upgrade the existing gas safety monitoring system. Four sets of (methane) fixed scanning-type laser gas remote detectors were installed in the process unit areas of Modules 107, 131, and 133 in the northern plant area. The intelligent monitoring system provides real-time feedback on gas concentration data, offering an accurate basis for safety management and effectively enhancing the scientific rigor and proactivity of safety management practices. Through this upgrade, the company has significantly improved its safety management level, effectively safeguarded the safety of personnel and equipment, and reduced safety risks and accident losses.
