In December 2023, in response to the safety requirements of its annual plant-wide shutdown and maintenance, Sinopec Jingmen Branch initiated a project to construct two hydrogen sulfide monitoring systems and one ammonia monitoring system. The project aims to strengthen hydrogen sulfide monitoring in areas such as the absorption, stabilization, and desulfurization pump zones of the delayed coking unit in the Refining Department II, as well as ammonia monitoring in the cold rooms of machines #1 to #4 at the paraffin forming unit in the Special Oil Department. By deploying high-precision laser gas detection equipment, Jingmen Petrochemical has established a comprehensive hydrogen sulfide and ammonia monitoring system, enabling real-time online monitoring and early warning of toxic and hazardous gases to ensure the safe and stable operation of production processes. The implementation of this project will significantly enhance Jingmen Petrochemical's technological capabilities and emergency response capacity in monitoring toxic and hazardous gases. By introducing advanced laser monitoring equipment and an intelligent management system, Jingmen Petrochemical can not only effectively prevent and control gas leak risks but also provide data support and decision-making bases for the company's safe production management.
