ABOUT
Hanhai Opto-electronic is a major scientific research achievement transformation institution of the Hefei Institute of Physical Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
In August 2022, the in-situ through-type laser gas analyzer independently developed by Hanhai Optoelectronics was officially installed and put into operation at Jiaozuo Waste-to-Energy Power Plant in Henan Province, which ranks as the fourth-largest waste-to-energy facility nationwide. This device enables real-time online monitoring of carbon emissions and ammonia slip, with its on-site test data far outperforming that of the imported equipment operating in parallel.
Targeted equipment deployment was implemented for this on-site field test. Specifically, one flue through-type laser detection system was installed in the emission flue of Boiler Unit 1 to conduct real-time monitoring of carbon dioxide concentration; another identical detection system was mounted in the emission flue of Boiler Unit 2 for real-time tracking of ammonia slip concentration.
Given that the plant’s emission flues are circular structures with a diameter of 3 meters, the equipment was strategically installed at a height of 32 meters where the exhaust gas flow is relatively stable, to ensure the reliability of monitoring data. Meanwhile, to prevent contamination of optical components by water vapor and dust inside the flues and thus guarantee the long-term stable operation of the equipment, regular purging was carried out at the optical windows using the plant’s existing instrument air supply.
Monitoring results are directly displayed on the on-site meters and simultaneously transmitted to the plant’s monitoring system via optical fiber, achieving seamless integration with the plant’s internal production management system.
