Optical Fiber Methane Monitoring Device System As an intrinsically safe monitoring device specially designed for underground gas monitoring scenarios and certified with the Mining Product Safety Mark, this product integrates Hanhai's proprietary passive detection technology and optical fiber transmission architecture. It completely breaks through the power supply dependence and explosion-proof safety bottlenecks of traditional underground monitoring equipment, providing full-cycle safety protection for coal mine scenarios such as underground gas drainage, roadway operations, and confined spaces. Especially in the power-off conditions caused by sudden gas accidents, it can continuously monitor gas concentration, offering critical data support for emergency rescue.
The system has obtained the Mining Product Safety Mark (MA Certification) and fully complies with the requirements of the Coal Mine Safety Regulations, allowing for direct and compliant deployment and operation underground. Its core detection link does not rely on underground commercial power; even if a sudden gas accident leads to power outage, it can still operate continuously and stably, conducting real-time monitoring of underground gas concentration changes and diffusion trends. This provides accurate data for formulating rescue plans and planning personnel search and rescue routes, filling the safety gap where traditional equipment fails upon power failure. Using optical fibers as the signal transmission medium, it achieves a transmission distance of several kilometers, unaffected by underground electromagnetic interference and humid environments, ensuring stable and undamped signal transmission that covers key underground areas such as roadways, drilling sites, goafs, and gas drainage pipes. The system supports 24/7 uninterrupted online monitoring, with real-time data uploaded to the ground monitoring center, enabling visualized display of gas concentration, historical data traceability, and trend analysis. When the concentration exceeds the standard, it immediately triggers graded audible and visual alarms. It can be connected to the mine's intelligent safety management and control platform, forming a closed-loop management system covering the entire process of "monitoring - early warning - emergency response - disposal".

1. Underground Excavation Work Zones
Deployable at fully-mechanized mining faces, driving faces and return air corners, it monitors the methane concentration released from coal seams during excavation in real time. It can also identify gas leak points to prevent risks caused by gas accumulation, ensuring the safety of frontline operations.
2. Gas Drainage-related Areas
Suitable for coal mine gas drainage pipelines and the vicinity of drainage pump stations, it monitors methane leakage during the drainage process. Meanwhile, it can assist in optimizing the gas drainage process with concentration data to improve gas drainage efficiency.
3. Underground Roadways and Equipment Zones
Ideal for installation in long-distance return air roadways of up to one kilometer, it achieves full-area methane monitoring with its long-distance detection capability. It can also be installed around underground equipment such as cable trenches, enabling multi-parameter collaborative early warning when combined with temperature monitoring.
4. Goaf Hazard Zones
When deployed in goafs, the system can monitor methane leakage, and predict the risk of coal seam spontaneous combustion by integrating relevant data. It provides early warnings of hidden hazards such as concealed fire zones to prevent the escalation of accidents.
The optical sensing terminals are placed at various monitoring points underground without requiring power supply, and connected to the system host via optical fibers to form an underground passive monitoring network. This enables intrinsically safe gas monitoring work that can real-time detect trace gas leaks underground without power distribution. The system supports simultaneous online continuous measurement at multiple monitoring points and triggers alarms when gas concentrations exceed the alarm limits, fully meeting the needs of real-time monitoring and early warning of gas concentrations at multiple underground coal mine locations.
