As the core hub of the Bohai West Oil & Gas Field Group, the CNOOC BZ13-1 Offshore Platform integrates the functions of oil and gas production, processing, storage and export. It is subject to the harsh marine environment characterized by high humidity, heavy salt spray and extreme temperature differences for a long time. Coupled with the features of narrow operation space and dense equipment pipelines, the platform faces significant risks of leakage of flammable and toxic gases such as methane and hydrogen sulfide. In this project, fixed scanning laser gas telemetry instruments are introduced into the production process area to build a monitoring system. This system achieves full-coverage, accurate detection and rapid response to gas leaks on the platform, thoroughly addresses the pain points of traditional monitoring methods, and builds a solid barrier for the safety of personnel and equipment on the platform.
