Since November 2022, Fusheng Coal Industry Co., Ltd. of Shanxi Lu'an Chemical Industry Group has been operating the Coal Mine Full-Time Passive Laser Gas Acquisition, Early Warning and Emergency Rescue Auxiliary Command System. The system enables 24/7 all-weather online continuous collection of harmful gases in underground coal mines without the need for external power supply. A total of 9 monitoring stations with 21 optical sensing terminals have been installed and put into operation at five locations, namely 1208 Return Air Gateway, 1208 Conveyance Gateway, 1201 Conveyance Gateway, 1201 High-Level Gas Drainage Gateway, and the Main Return Air Crossheading. Each monitoring station is designed to monitor the concentrations of methane, acetylene and carbon monoxide. As the mining face advances, these terminals are embedded into the goaf area for continuous gas monitoring.
