The intelligent robot for tunnel engineering safety protection has been applied at Yigong Zone 6 of Section CZXZZQ-4 of the newly-built Sichuan-Tibet Railway constructed by China Railway No.2 Engineering Bureau Group Co., Ltd. It accurately acquires the harmful gas concentration data inside the tunnel, prevents fatal poisoning incidents among construction personnel, effectively reduces potential safety hazards such as fires and explosions, and meets the headquarters' requirements of "information-based management, mechanized operation, intelligent equipment and standardized processes". By virtue of the robot’s innovative intelligent equipment control and information-based management, the goals of fewer operators and higher operational efficiency have been achieved.
