As a pivotal industrial park gathering high-end industries and supporting diverse business formats, Shenzhen New-Generation Industrial Park features dense internal infrastructure, among which gas shafts are numerous and widely distributed. As a critical energy source for park operations, gas safety management is directly tied to the core safety of enterprise production and personnel daily life within the park. Traditional gas safety management relies on manual inspections, which suffer from drawbacks such as long inspection cycles, limited coverage, and delayed detection of leakage hazards. These shortcomings make it difficult to meet the park’s demands for large-scale and refined safety management. To address this pain point, elevate the park’s safety management level, and safeguard the overall operational safety of the park, the Gas Safety Intelligent Upgrade Project was launched in April 2022. Its core task was to install IoT laser gas leak detectors in gas shaft areas and establish a centralized, intelligent gas leak monitoring system. The successful completion of this IoT laser gas leak detector installation project has enabled Shenzhen New-Generation Industrial Park to build a comprehensive and efficient gas safety monitoring system, achieving a leapfrog upgrade in the safety management of the park’s gas shafts.
